Closed Reduction Nasal Fracture

Nasal bone fractures are the most common of facial fractures.  They cause swelling over the bridge of the nose, swelling and bruising around the eyes, and a change in the appearance of ones nose as well as obstructive symptoms.  Surgery to reduce the fracture usually requires a general anesthetic and is performed on an outpatient basis.  Recovery is usually 24-48 hours.  Pain is minimal and usually relieved by over-the-counter medications.
