  • DR. KEITH PRITCHYK NOW BOARD CERTIFIED BY THE AMERICAN BOARD OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY

    Scranton, Pennsylvania – November 2015 – Keith Pritchyk, M.D., Delta Medix is now a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (FAAOA). Fellows of the AAOA are Board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology or their respective certifying Board.

    Dr. Pritchyk is an Ear, Nose & Throat and Allergy physician for Delta Medix. He has been practicing in Scranton since 2004. His special interests include thyroid and parathyroid diseases, head and neck oncology/ surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, general otolaryngology, otology, voice disorders, sleep apnea, allergy and nasal, and sinus disease.

    Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Pritchyk is a member of The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the Triological Society. Dr. Pritchyk is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Commonwealth Medical College. 

    Dr. Keith Pritchyk is a native of Northeast Pennsylvania. He graduated from The University of Scranton, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude. He also obtained a Master of Science degree in Physiology from Georgetown University. His Doctorate of Medicine is from Georgetown University School of Medicine and he completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center.

  • Delta Medix announces the addition of Andrew T. Turrisi, III, MD to their staff as a radiation oncologist

    Scranton, PA - February 2, 2015

    Delta Medix announces the addition of Andrew T. Turrisi, III, MD to their staff as a radiation oncologist at the Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care located on the Morgan Highway in Scranton.

    Dr. Turrisi, a resident of Gross Pointe Park, MI is a graduate of Georgetown University Medical School.

    His extensive postgraduate training included tenure as a Clinical Associate in the VA Medical Oncology Branch, National Cancer Institute and the Radiation Oncology Branch of NCI.  Turrisi completed a residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Radiation Therapy as well as a residency at Georgetown University Hospital in internal medicine.

    Dr. Turrisi served as a Surgeon, US Public Health Service, receiving a discharge with the Naval Equivalent rank of Lieutenant Commander.
    Combining postdoctoral education with clinical practice and academic appointments, Turrisi holds memberships in the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC)
    Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine - Medical Oncology, and the American Board of Radiology, Therapeutic Radiology, 1984, Dr. Turrisi is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Michigan and South Carolina.

    Dr. Turrisi has served as a faculty member at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, University of Michigan Medical Center, and as Chair at both Medical University of South Carolina, and Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan) in the Department of Radiation Oncology.  Dr. Turrisi’s clinical practice includes service as Chief, Radiation Oncology at Sinai Grace Hospital.

    Dr. Turrisi has served on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, The Oncology Index and Reviews and International Journal Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics.  He has presided as President of the Cogent Internet Journal Club, Lung Cancer Editor and as Radiation Oncology Co-Editor and President for  The Oncologist.

    Turrisi’s contributions to the field include work as a peer editor, guest lecturer and author at most national centers of excellence within the United States, such as Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

    A native of Orange, NJ, Turrisi has lived and worked in the greater Philadelphia area as well as Charleston, SC and Michigan prior to accepting his current position at Delta Medix. Married to Katherine Blanchard Turrisi, he is father to a daughter, Emilia and step father to Casey, John Harmon, Katie and Carolyn.

    Scranton, PA - September 12, 2014

    Scranton, Pennsylvania – September 12, 2014 – Delta Medix, Northeast Pennsylvania’s most advanced health care team, is pleased to announce the addition of Krista Bott, M.D. to their multi-specialty group of physicians and surgeons. Dr. Bott is joining the Delta Medix Breast Care Center and General Surgery division. Her expertise and skills are now available to patients at Delta Medix Breast Care Center, located at 236 Penn Avenue, Scranton and at Delta Medix Surgery at Regional Hospital of Scranton -- 743 Jefferson Avenue, Suite 103, Scranton.

    Dr. Krista Goodman Bott is a native of Hawley, Pennsylvania. She graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmaceutical Product Development and received her Doctorate of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

    With special emphasis and training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, Dr. Bott completed her surgical training at Lehigh Valley Health Network. While at Lehigh Valley, Dr. Bott received the Stahler-Rex Research Award for her work with the use of geocoding and U.S. Census data to assess determinants of outcomes in trauma patients. Dr. Bott has a special interest in robotic surgery as well as diseases of the breast.

    When Dr. Bott is not in the office, she enjoys golfing, skiing, and watching sports, especially the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

    Cherrie Bentler is a Scranton native. She is a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Marywood University. She received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Misericordia University. Cherrie is nationally certified in Oncology and Family Practice, and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society in Nursing. Her experience includes 15 years in Hematology and Oncology, and 20 years in Surgical Nursing.

He is also the Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Chief of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Service of Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine and his special areas of interest include lung cancer, asthma, allergy and immunology and occupational lung disease.
